Listening to the greatest hits.. I had forgotten how much I love the police and Sting!! I'm rocking! Fantasic stuff, good lyrics, just great music!! :)

Anyone else share my view?

Yeah Sting is pretty keen on himself too :p

Was a big fan in my youth, haven't listened to them in a while, Sting did get a bit up himself (I think it was all the hippy sex) but some of his solo stuff is good :)

solo stuff is great - Fields of God and Fragile - feels like i'm sun bathing in the Med :)

It was either 1980 at the Milton Keynes Bowl, with Squeeze and UB40 supporting, which wasn't great for me, as I'm no fan of either support act, but the Police were superb.
 
Love The Police, according to Last.fm they're my 8th most played artist. :) Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic is one of my favourite songs.
 
I've started listening to a lot of Sting recently. So many of his songs are pure pop gold, full of really pleasant chord changes and progressions. My favourites are Fields of Gold, Brand New Day and If I Ever Lose My Faith In You. He's a legend.
 
Saw them 4 times. Twice when they were starting and probably round the 2nd and 3rd album (Regatta De Blanc!).
Awesome band and Copeland is one of my favourite drummers.
Copeland hated Sting and he even had **** *** *** **** taped to his drums and had his cymbals pointed so he couldn't see Sting.
 
Can't stand Sting the pretentious tosspot, and I've always hated the repetitive music of the police.

Only one record I can say I genuinely like and that's "Russians".
 
havnt listened to them in a while :D

but they are quality :cool: i remember "Every little thing she does is magic.. everything she do just turns me on" what a great song :D

some of their stuff had a really nice reggae beat to it and was just nice to listen to.
 
Not a fan of sting solo, but Police are superb!

I've bumped into sting in London, or rather my friend did - knocked him flying as he was coming out of an overpriced handbag shop (gucci I think it was), I decided it would be better to walk round him.
