"It hurts me to say this, but of all the cars you can buy today... this is the best" - Jeremy Clarkson BBC TV

The Porsche 911 Twin Turbo X50 is :-

"Britain's Fastest Car A to B" - Autocar, June 2003
"Fastest Car 0-100-0, 13.5secs" - Road and Track, August 2003

I am very pleased to say that I will own a brand new one in October this year, and I can't quite believe it :D

Wtf is the X50? Is that a power upgrade or something?
From Porsche's Exclusive Catalogue :-

The Turbo Performance Kit (X50) - For the 911 Turbo, we've modified a number of key engine and drivetrain components, including turbochargers, intercoolers and gearbox. Given the extent of the modifications involved, the Turbo Performance Kit is only available as a factory fitted option.

Basically GT2 turbos and other stuff upgraded to cope with the power

Other options? Sat Nav, but most stuff is already standard on the turbo. It's really just trim, colour etc.

It really is good to see someone reaching their dreams:D

I hope you enjoy it:)
That's very nice of you. Thank you :)

Ceramic brakes are great on the track, but require some heat before they work well. They are also an extra £7K. Big Reds are better for the road.

Flew up to Edinburgh a few weeks ago to look at a 360 Modena, only a few months old with just 1000 miles on the clock. Gorgeous on the outside, OK on the inside, but completely disappointing performance for a £100K+ car. Drove an X50 shortly after and it blew me a away with its perfectly balanced handling and awesome performance.

Buy a 360 to look cool. Buy a 911 Turbo X50 for the love of driving. No contest

Decided if I'm going to wait that long I'm having a custom colour. So in April 2004 I will take delivery of my new Avus Silver Pearl Effect 911 Turbo X50
