:D

Atleast you're honest, I very rarely like going away from my comfort zone

Hopefully this will make up for it!

Hi all

I'm sure a good few of you will know plenty about this place. It's a beautiful part of the countryside so close to Manchester. The town centre itself almost has a rustic feel to it, steep hills and cobbled streets.

Didn't have time today to take it all in, so decided to have a walk around the lake and dam and take some snaps. Got a few experimental shots at the end, that really made me wish I had a tripod!

Critique is always welcomed, as I'm always wanting to improve myself!

And now, the 2 photos that made me wish I had a tripod!

Ended up using a railing to lean the camera on, as well as kneeling down to try and provide as stable a base as possible. Exposure was 0.5 seconds, so there was inevitably a bit of movement shake. Would love to do it again once I buy myself a tripod though.

Another 'why haven't I bought a tripod yet!' moments. I thought this area was perfect for a panorama and would have loved to get it perfect. As a result, a fair few of the images used have a good bit cropped out as there was no other way to do it. Also, Photoshop seemed a bit dodgy with joining the fence up, but it doesn't overly detract from the image, in my opinion.

Was out assisting today, a small, simple church wedding and I was drafted in to help cover the ceremony and post shoot in the park. The weather threatened to rain, and it did for 5mins between locations, which was lucky!

Anyway, just managed to process 1 thus far...
