I like mobile shots, once you've shot with a DSLR its kinda fun to shoot with a phone or something, it becomes all about composition.

Why do you not want to do it?

I'm under no illusions as to my photographic ability, a wedding shoot is beyond me. Sure I could shoot it but the standard wouldn't be high enough so I wouldn't be happy. It's the sister of my brother's wife, they saw the candids I took at my brother's wedding and loved them (she was the head bridesmaid and her husband to be an usher) . My brother asked me to do his wedding and I said no to that as well! It's a small wedding with 40 guests at a nice little church, on the 29th December though!

I see... well depending on if it's something you actually want to do, you might want to consider second shooting to see how it goes because you wont know until you try.
From seeing you previous candid's I suspect you may enjoy it...

I like the processing on these. The only significant thing I'd recommend is a slightly slower shutter speed to get the props completely blurred and circular. :)

Yeah I know, that's a task for this year. The 1/60 shots last year didn't work, it's going to be difficult hand held at 500mm to be honest :D

Edit: This was at 1/125.

Those are all at f/1.2, the thing I like about this lens is that DOF isn't too much of an issue at medium distances compared to a 50, so you get a nice speed bump (shooting at 400 all day!) without sacrificing too much to gratuitous shallow DOF (for example I shot a few Chinese dancers in a dragon costume at 1.2 as well). However it is shallow enough that you can get subjects to pop out of the background in a similar way to shooting MF. I really wish my scanner didn't suck so much at scanning 35mm though, looks like a Coolscan will be my next purchase lol. :)
