I have been revisiting old photographs today and here's a couple during wedding I shot in Pakistan, these were on our street travels:

It's almost 1am and I am processing photos from a wedding, 110 photos in...I think I'm gonna crack on for another half an hour then call it a night, bloody exhausted. *yawn*

Found an old monopoly set yesterday so took two photos to reflect my mood on current events:

Trying to find an actually nice house to live in that doesn't break the budget as a first time buyer:

My opinion of bankers that are callous with our money to the point of costing us even more or screwing us sideways in some other fashion:

And yeah, bad mood = creative mind lol

Edit: changed the second image with a vastly cleaner version. Didn't realise I uploaded the unedited one vs the cleaner one (removed dirt!)

Actually a quick one from me!

I absolutely love this image!

I love the expressions on the boys faces, I love the layers of bridesmaids in the background, the depth of field, the hairs and carriage, just everything about it :)

I like the first one, I had an assigment recently and wanted a dark reflective surface. What did you use and how did you light it? I was going to use a cast off piece of black granite but I couldn't get a piece in the end :)

I used a single light source (lencarta 300w flash head) with a 140x70cm softbox at very close range so that the light wrapped around the target (mounted directly above the subject via a studio boom arm). The black reflective surface is a glossy acrylic sheet I got from ebay, which is a nightmare to keep clean lol. Its around 120x40cm and glossy on both sides if you damage one of them. Cost around £16 iirc!

You get the specular reflection when you get as low as possible without bringing the background into it.

I'd personally rather get a piece of smokey glass or black glass instead if the budget allows as it allows you to be far more creative in terms of lighting. I've done numerous shots where I've lit up the subject from beneath a clear glass desk and its great for small glass objects especially.
