The problem with the England team

Apart from Rooney they have no desire.

I dont see any lung bursting runs, full blooded tackles, fighting for the ball.

Thats all it is.

Rooney, Hargreaves and Gerrard are the true grafters of the team, IMO. But for Rooney and Gerrard their hardwork is ultimately misplaced out of frustration. Not their fault they're played in the wrong position or paired with the wrong players, though.

england are lacking a true goalscorer up front.

why bent hasnt been played recently i dont know...considering johnson is injured. defoe isnt any good.

england are missing owen

I think too many players are in the comfort zone, they know they are going to play and more than likely, start.

For me I'd start chopping away, pick some surprises and upset a few of the people there for an easy ride.

Nolan. Barton. Baines. Reo-Coker. Bent. King.

From what i have seen of Reo coker, he is going to be a star and i really do hope he gets a shot in the middle of the park, bent and king should also be in the team, nolan and barton tho? not a chance.

Nolan pulls the strings for a talented Bolton side.
Barton will run until his lungs burst.

Neither of them might be the 'star' that someone like Lampard is, but they will put in the effort that he doesn't and for me I'd take that any day.

With a spineless manager with no balls like McClaren in charge things don`t look good. He is an FA yes man, who will not drop "Star" players from the squad. Is this his fault or the FA?
I was in Blockbuster yesterday and saw some football game saying "World cup 2006 - Germany" and guess who was on the front ?....yes that overrated pillock Lampard. Oh the irony..... An England team being picked to keep the money men happy?
