I don’t think anyone is particularly enthusiastic for studio offerings by this group anymore but, as a heads up, a new album is coming out called ‘No Tourists’ and they have announced plans for a new UK tour.

General sale for tour is Friday but you can pre-order the album and get presale tickets now (may have all gone by now, who knows).

Got me some tickets and looking forward to a fun show :)

As for the new material, one song released so far as far as I can tell (“Need Some1”). It’s rather generic. Also, the album artwork is terrible :o

yeah i've been listening since the prodigy experience! so i guess i'll have to give this a go
listening to that Need some1, not great

i did listen to 'the day is my enemy' a few times and it had a few moments but i haven't went back to it

Experience, Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land - they went from rave to industrial over the span of 3 albums which I loved. They went to pot after that although I did enjoy Invaders Must Die.

Fast becoming a genre the younger generation won't understand. They certainly have evolved and some tracks I can't stand but it always grows on me. I will have to miss out this time, baby due early October so life is on hold until I know which way is up again following. New album will help nail some of my workload however

Been a fan since the start, only album that left me cold was TDIME, hell i even enjoyed Outgunned. One thing you can always count on with these guys even if the new albums are crap is a great live show!

I managed to get tickets for Liverpool. It was fairly painless compared to the mess up last time buying tickets. Regardless of if the album is any good, they are always fantastic live and being in Liverpool it means I don't have to travel to see them! :D

You didn't have to pre-order to get on the presale, I looked at it and it said no purchase necessary and they sent you a code anyway.

I was going to see them in 'pool but im on holiday in spain, guuuuuuted!

I can no longer go to the Birmingham gig - have 4 standing tickets. Will put them on twickets but if anyone here wants them I’ll put them on at an agreed time so you can have first dibs :)

So this album sounds pretty damn dumb if coming to it from anything more sophisticated, but looping it through a couple of times it sounds like an enjoyable mish-mash of other prodigy tunes. Not great, not terrible, pretty fun :)

I've enjoyed it more than their last album, to me, it sounds a bit more like some of their older stuff. The gig tonight in the Echo Arena was fantastic as always though, glad I've got tomorrow off work! :D

Music for the Jilted Generation is my favorite album of all time. Fat of the Land had it's moments but that was the beginning of the end for me and everything since I have just thought was meh.

Every album I keep hoping for more sample based music made in the old style, but it never happens.

listened to it on the way home. Agh really annoying it has some good moments but dear me there is nothing very new here. I really hoped it would be a lot more eclectic but it's very samey really and no mellow tune or change of pace particularly.

Its a fun listen but nothing more really. I wonder if that will be it?

Making good music looks super hard. Imagine tweaking a song listening to clips 1000s of times, I bet you would lose the sense of the sounds.

Remaking this I bet would be so much harder than originally creating it where bits of luck would be involved.

Very interesting making of Voodoo People if you have not seen.

I was literally just about to post the breakdown of smack my ***** up and noticed you posted that one, its so interesting to see.

I don't think I will ever forgive the Prodigy or Sleaford Mods for that Ibiza track, but I do regret never seeing Prodigy live particularly as have seen just about every other big dance act. I have heard their recent gigs were very good.

Was pretty underwhelmed by the new stuff, but if i stick on repeat for 12h I'm sure ill love some of it.
