Well... Nice spec. We know that the card shouldn't be CPU limited. What monitor are you using? If you using a monitor that can't kick out 1280x1024 there is no point.

If, however, you are wanting to play stupid high res games with all the eye candy turned up to the max you'd better look at the 7950.

I went from my x1900xt-x to this card and I haven't looked back. The performance boost with FEAR ('cos I haven't played with any thing else) is mad! I'm running at 1600x1200 with max AA(x6), AF (x16) and soft shadows on it runs super smooth. Only had one point where is dropped down to 25 FPS (was a high detail scene, can't remember where).

Any more questions give me a shout.

Agent.

I got a 20" Dell,that imfo was handy though m8 ta very much :D

I have a serious probelm, i think, I ran 3d mark 05 and only got 8820.... with the 7950GX2 installed!!!

Are you running Nv drivers 91.31 and have you got Multi GPU enabled?

PS. that looks like a single core score imho.

Doesn't sound right bud, I scored about 9300 in single gpu mode. What CPU do you have? When I first installed my GX2 and my cpu was at stock I scored 11916 in 3DMark05. With my CPU (A64 4000+) at 2.9Ghz I scored 13611. Your CPU makes a huge difference with this card.

Make sure your motherboard supports the GX2 and is flashed to a compatible bios. To use this card in SLI I think your motherboards PCI-E slot has to operate at 16X. I'm not sure though.

Good Luck!

Ps: I love this card!!

that might be it

the bios!

The list on the NV website says that it supports the P5ND2-SLI board but i have P5ND2- SLI deluxe?

will that matter?

Also i have a Pentium D 3.0ghz @3.2ghz

Yeah Jim, Your card will only operate in single gpu mode until you get a compatible motherboard. As for your score it's problably just fine. AMD processors are generally better at games (and 3DMark) than intel CPUs. And my score was achieved by overclocking my CPU 500mhz from its stock speed.
Also, sorry if you've been waiting for my reply, I just got back from work.

Good luck on your next build bud :)

Agent> Can you please post your "compare" links from 3dMark01/03/05/06 just as DrEvil has.

I alwasy find its nice to really compare what your gfx & system etc do compared to mine, then I can make the upgrade. ;)

Aaahhh! Too technical.. hehe.

Not a problem. Just to check, will I have to buy the pro version of 3D mark or not?

I'll do it as soon as I have got my main rig up and running (having problems with my watercooling and have taken it apart to fix it.

nope :) should run on the free one. just go on the orb, and put a check in the "publish" option under the scores you want to make a compare URL.

click update and it should give you a URL under the score :)

I quite fancy one of these cards now :)

BTW : Scoob is that sig legal on a " Family Forum " im sure i see a nipple :p

Just ordered a NEC LCD20WGX2 - my first ever TFT!!! :D

I bet a 7950 GX2 gfx card would go really well with it. . .

I've got an NEC LCD20WGX2 and my 7900gtx struggles to feed it properly in a lot of the newer stuff, been tempted to get a 7950 GX2 as well, it'll have to wait until after the Conroe upgrade though.

Anyone playing BF2 online using an AMD X2 and one of these cards @ 1600x1200 @ high AA x2?

Reason I ask is I'm getting some stuttering during online play - I've not ruled out my network connection yet - but this didn't happen on the 7800 512 @ 1280x1024 @ HIGH AA x2, so wondered if my CPU (4800+ @ 2.4) isnt up to the job of feeding the GPU at that res.

Cheers
