*** The Proper 7950 GX2 owners Thread ***

Actually the resolutions are similar (just a different shape) - the Triple Head 2 go has about 3.5m pixels and the Dell a smidge over 4m.

From TBird's results, this system runs beautifully on 2*7800GTX's (and they're only the 256Mb ones!) So on of these should be just as good - finally give a good excuse to run some outrageous resolutions!

Ok My mistake - I had just been reading about CPC's review of a system with the Dell and GX2 and they were not overly impressed with frame rates at natural res - as much to do with the individual game profiles as the power of the cards - so good luck and hope it turns out well

Just ran coolbits with my XFX Extreme Edition(520/1300) and got 570 GPU & 1550 Memory, bit strange it stopped at XXX Edition clocks

That's because the XXX Edition is overclocked more or less as far as it will go hence why yours stopped around the same clocks. Some people I dont like overclocking and pay the hefty price tag for the privilage. Personally I like bang for buck and overclock it myself! :D

Hi There

Mate has just got a pair of these but wasnt sure if they would run in quad.He has the A8N 32 SLi mobo and a Enermax 600w noisetaker.Think that may need to be upgraded to run 2 of these?

Which GX2 is better, the BFG or XFX XT one?? Ive seen them both for the same price, which one would you go for?

Hi,

I was wondering do the 7950 owners find any variations between the card manufacturers? What I mean is do they all reach the same limit?

I have just bought a 7900gtx but I am also concerned about the current issues they seem to have. If on the bad luck it is one of the faulty ones then I would consider a move towards a 7950.

Thanks

The new drivers are quad drivers afaik.

The main difference between the manufacturers is the XFX have been granted permission to make pre-overclocked versions. Other than that its down to what 'extras' come with the card (games/utilities etc)..oh and the HSF sticker.
