Been watching it - so far not bad overall - about on par for the original movie for me but the pacing is pretty bad - it seems to be trying to cram too much into an episode.

Season 2 starting now - first episode actually seems pretty good compared to last season which I never really gelled with.

Watched the first 5 episodes when it came out, didn't think a lot and gave up. Noticed S2 was out and it's a change of style so went back to it. Watched a few more eps and while not a great series, it's passable. About same level of the first movie.

Yes, I hadn't watched any of the films when I started season 1. Have since watched a couple of the films.

Season 2 is pretty cool as it deals with the aftermath of a purge night and the build up to the next one.

First movie is ok, second probably the best then 3 and 4 are just ok again.

Works better as a series as some of the themes (even if dealt with hamfistedly) need more time to explore, there's a bit more going on than "OMG, 12 hours, crime yay!"
