So im still pondering on what to do. Really I've been told different views over and over. So the question is:

Upgrade now or wait for DX10 cards (8800 GT/X).

Im still not sure, I am on a budget and was still thinking of buying a 7900 GTO 512MB. But am I better on waiting for DX10 cards? then maybe building a DX10 system. Or am I better just upgrading now?

I suppose no one really knows the answer its a 50:50 some are holding out and some are just going and spending.

Alough I am still not sure, and im thinking in the long term, am I better upgrading now? but what if I regret since DX10 is just around the corner? Or am I better upgrading later, but im still not getting full blown graphics in games and I end up waiting even longer after DX10 as its been discussed that it will be costly as usual on first release.

Is there an answer for my question? would be good if there was :) .

i say go for it great card plus you can enjoy NOW id rather wait for second gen of dx10 cards but realy it's your choice.

just my op. :)

ps.and at the current price it's a steal.

Ya I get what you mean, just means I have to upgrade everything else at the same time, and just was it worth it in the long run if you get me.

I was in the same position and I ended up going with the card that you are thinking about.

The way I look at it is, by the time there are enough dx10 games to warrant a dx10 card it will be time to upgrade again (probably 6- 8months from now). Lets face it the first dx10 cards will be expensive and by the time you jump on the bandwagon you'll have missed out on months of cool games/gaming.

Plus this card is going to last us well into next year and is a steal at the price.
