Playing Mafia 2 and it's wild with a stutter any ideas?

I couldn't get past the start, just grey screen with the windows showing or something

Given DPD my card for it's RMA, the failure friday night has ruined my weekend gaming plans after working all week lulz

Big improvement thanks @Panos still bit stutter but only when fps seems to drop it does.

Good stuff. Seems the Pulse has BIOS issues, since others are using this with great success.

I've the Sapphire Reference lol think fps stutter causing my issue lol

Has this work for anyone though?
Stutter that I've seen has more relation to fluctuating gpu frequencies. I'm not sure I understand how the monitor would help smooth this out?
I could see a more smoother gaming experience if the fps was already high, somewhat already stable and you still got stutter, microstutter.

Well I Just got BSOD with system thread exception not handled on Mafia 2 after changing settings.. Pretty bad that 2019 GPU can't run a old game like mafia 2 lol

So making those changes (IE: voltage swing to 1 and PreEmphasis to 2) causes BSOD?

Been experiencing hitching in Borderlands 3, not sure if it's the game as I'm running it in DX12 mode or the drivers, inclined to think it's the games DX12 mode as other games seem fine

Did you undo the changes ((IE: voltage swing to 0 and PreEmphasis to 0)
Reboot PC

I didn't had issues with the 5700XT AE

Yeah back to stuttering lol inside buildings it's wild lol. Noticed that enhanced sync was on my wattman so maybe that might be the culprit

Start the app:
Place mouse cursor on Stop and stop the service
Change 'Free Memory is Lower Than: 2048
Enable Custom Timer Resolution
Click in box for 'Wanted Timer Resolution: 1.00 (if Current timer resolution already reads 1.00 skip this)
Change ISLC Polling Rate (ms): 2000 or 4000
Place mouse cursor on Start and start it up again
Current Timer Resolution should go down to 1.00
Play Mafia 2 (keep ISLC running in background) report back here if it's smoother or not

OK tried that I've used 2000 stilll stuttering and lagging not as bad though, should I try 4000 and see if any improvement? Fps is capped 130 1440p

Sure give it a go and uncap your framerates.
BTW what win10 version are you on?
