Turn of your power supply.
Reset bios.
Remove battery.
Wait 15 minutes.
Power on.
Works.
It is some kind of failure mode the card gets in when some limits are broken or some error occurs. I ran into it a few times while overclocking my 6800. IgorsLab wrote about it as well I think. For him removing power was enough iirc.
A really ****** failure mode tbh. I needed a few hours to solve it the first time with several reboots, trying the gpu in another system etc. But the above method brought it back to live every time I overdid it. (we are talking timespy top100 oc levels here with PPT mod so no default limits)
Also had that "its booting into windows without display output" thing, thats ******* strange![]()
thanks, what battery are you referring to? On the motherboard ? As I’ve tried it on both my pcs and it doesn’t boot in either off them
