The Raid took me back to the good old days when HK films in particular John Woo productions used to be the nuts.

I'm hoping for even more good things from the sequel but on a grander scale...got to give major props to Gareth Evans.

I noticed the BBFC have rated the trailer, not the actual movie, but have any of you guys seen it in the cinema? It's due a March release, just hoping it doesn't do straight to DVD?

There was a showing Monday night at Cineworld's across the country for unlimited members. Me and my brother watched the 1st at the cinema, so we were definitely watching the 2nd!

My mini review:

The Raid 2 - 8/10

If you liked the 1st film, you'll like this. The fights were brutal, fantastic choreography, some very nice set pieces. A fantastic looking film as well. The plot ..... is not original but it didn't seem far fetched.

Got the first on Bluray and it's a great film. Deff want to see this.

Asian films are often hit or miss but the hits are brilliant and this looks to be as good or better than the first. If can't see it at cinema, hopefully the bluray isn't too far behind.
