Came across this at the weekend in an old box, my first video capture card.
Matrox Mystique with Rainbow Runner add on card - I think it had a whopping 4MB of memory.
It did. I used to own both of those. after playing with a mac video editing progamme at Epcot way back in 1997 I decided to dabble in video editing. I bought the RR daughtercard & a was then massive IBM 10gig hard drive, the hard drive alone was over 200 notes!
I got so good at video editing I put together a wedding video for a mate of my dad's - got a bottle of Jim Beam out of it!
This is an Abit MoBo with an Athlon 1200 cooled by a CoolerMaster HHC-001(2nd Pic) with the noisiest 40mm fan ever! (I've still got the fan actually), GeForce 2 MX, SoundBlaster 512 PCI, cheap-ass SCSI card and 1.5GB of equally cheap-ass RAM
Up-top we have:
Nakamichi MJ-5.16 5xCD Changer (was SO proud of that!)
Generic 52x CD-RW
Lite-ON 52x CD-RW
Generic DVD-ROM
Generic FDD Drive(!)
Plus a cheap-ass 500W PSU
Think the HDDs were about 120GB a piece (HDD cooler made SO much noise)
That fan on the back of the GF2 is a ThermalTake Orb - stuck on with double sided tape cos I couldn't mount it to the GPU lol
Fan hanging under the HDDs was zip-tied to a bent PCI bracket and made more noise than the HDD cooler (think it was a Delta, can't remember)
Case itself was a cheap-ass PC W*** special - Think I paid £35 for it LOL - best feature was the removable mobo tray!
(quite a big writeup for a 'random image' thread LOL sorry!)
Shiny new hardware, finished building it on Sunday and it's running a treat. The box of hardware is sitting on top of a Fractal Design R3 which it all went into (apart from that random US Robotics NIC).
