surprised there isn't a thread / posts on this yet:

ECS have released a Ultra compact PC, the LIVA Mini PC Kit

http://www.ecs.com.tw/LIVA/

Intel® Bay Trail-M SoC Processor

Featuring Intel® Bay Trail-M SoC (System-on-a-Chip) processor, based on the new low-power consumption microarchitecture “Silvermont” Providing the fanless thermal design with better acoustic performance, LIVA is a great Mini PC with the advantages of high performance and power saving

eMMC Storage Technology

eMMC, Embedded Multi-Media Card, comprised of both flash memory and a flash memory controller, which is often used for mobile devices. eMMC greatly reduces the response time and is suitable for high performance applications.

M.2 Socket Wireless Communication

(WiFi 802.11b/g/n & Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Card)

The evolution of onboard interface M.2 socket provides a better and faster standard for connecting NGFF (Next Generation Form Factor), provides a better and faster standard for connection and expansion. LIVA adopts the latest M.2 Interface with the WiFi / Bluetooth Combo Card for Better wireless communication.

Low Voltage DRAM

LIVA Integrates low voltage Double Data Rate III Synchronous DRAM, usually used for Notebook PC solution, which is 8% power saving than regular DRAM, DDR3L is ideally suited for the main memory application, which requires large memory density, high bandwidth and low power operation.

with 2gb ram, 32gb eMMC (SSD equivalent), it boots up into Window 8 within seconds, consumes a ridiculous low amounts of power, I power it with a Samsung S4 charger , there's no point switching the thing off, it's silent, fanless (no actual moving parts) and it doesn't even break a sweat.

it handles full HD and anything I throw at it with ease, currently using it with Win 8 + XBMC Gotham, was going to openelec it but this can double up as a decent PC :D

should retail around £100ish

it's being pitched as a perfectly usable PC by ECS which can handle dual screens, which in all honesty it does very well.

However I can see this very popular in the HTPC market, ultra compact, silent, can handle full HD with ease, uses 5w? so can be running 24/7 ...is that like £1 - 1.10 per month on the electrics
