I wouldn't mind them so much if it wasn't for Horner and their fans making them out to be a small indy team fighting against the big boys when they have the money to buy the whole rest of the field.

Seriously though, RBR are the only team to ever push the rules for an advantage? You must be new to F1.

Kudos to Red Bull for pushing the little team come good angle despite having a huge amount of money. They played it well, but then what do you expect from people that market a 5p drink for £1 a can and still sell billions despite everyone making stuff with near identical ingredients for 30p a can.

The early days of Red Bull racing was marketed and publised very very well. The happy go lucky team, pleased to be there, having fun and the joke pre-race noted released, while they mopped up talent and spent a huge amount of money.

Isn't the RBR budget actually smaller than McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes?

Sure, the company behind them might actually have a gazillion in the bank, but it doesn't mean they actually spent it all on the F1 team.

Money doesn't buy success either. Does it, Toyota?

No, it's larger. They keep getting around the spending agreements as well unlike McLaren & Ferrari.

You mean Ferrari who left FOTA at the same time as RBR so are no longer subject to the RRA?

There's always got to be some excuse though. RBR only win because "they have infinate money" or because "they broke all the rules" or because "Newey is the only person in F1 who can build fast cars"

Could it not just be that they did the best job?

Probably a lot less than the top guys from all the manufacturer teams were on in the first half of the 00s. The amount of money being plowed into F1 back then was eye watering.

Yep, while I'm not Red Bulls biggest fan, it's clear that their approach is to push to the maximum in everything they do. Bend the rules perhaps, but I don't think they break them.

McLaren ever since spygate seem to have been too conservative, Ferrari just had several foul-ups over their wind tunnel etc., and the other teams just didn't have the expertise in place to compete at the very top.

Yeah your right. McLaren have admitted they played it to safe, and its a shame that Ferraris wind tunnel problems hindered them for so long.

toyota didnt have 2 teams worth of data and a sister team doing testing for them instead of racing

Ferrari still stick to the RRA, Ferrari left FOTA because Red Bull where not.

Big difference.
