Folks at Roccat have sent us another giveaway! In honour of the new youtube hero "the Chicken Connoisseur" and his video series "The Pengest Munch" I've got a great competition in mind.

To win this prize I want you to take a photo of any takeaway you have between now and the competition close and post it in this thread with a short review.

The most recent purchase from my local chippy, beautiful soft moist middle with a mild potato and fish flavour with subtle hints of herbs coated in a breadcrumb with an overwhelming smokey crunch. -3/10 will not use again.

It was a cold dark evening and i was a mama with a bad headache who couldn't face cooking. Que a trip to the local KFC.
Service was excellent, price was extortionate, food was great. No washing up after (for me)...... Priceless!
I would say for anyone looking to have a day off from cooking or a quick snack at lunchtime. This is the place to go

The food baby was real!

Portion control: 11/10 - and I wonder why I am the size I am :o
Quality: 9/10 Crisp batter, not too thick or oily with moist cod portion, chips soft without being squidgy or greasy.
Freshness: 10/10 - Friday nights they queue out the door, they can't cook fast enough (despite numerous other chippies and takeaways within 1/2 mile)
Freebies: 9/10 - The run up to Christmas they gave me a 7up can, would have been 10/10 if it was a "diet drink" ;)

Hoping for extra kudos for the mousemat :cool:
 
My takeaway:

Chicken Korma, Chicken Madras, 2x pilau rice and Peshwari Naan from Huyton Tandoori, Liverpool.

Review:

Korma - Sweet but tangy, Mrs iamdjdz had this - her rating 8/10
Madras - Very spicy, probably more spicy than other takeaway but a nice spread of taste of other spices, my rating 8/10

Pilau rice - good but some bits lumped together, standard pilau rice - 7/10
Peshwari Naan - very sweet, naan filled with a coconut and sugar paste, went better with the Korma than the Madras but still nice - 7/10
 


Look at these beauties I got from my local chippy yesterday!

Review of my battered sausage and chips (plus ketchup) from lawford chippy

The chips were sensational! moist but not soggy and extremely fresh no scraggly crunchy bits! all are hand peeled and chopped in store!, The batter on the sausages is like no other! it extremely flaky and crisp and houses the succulent sausage meat, this meat isn't like most chippy in the fact its exactly that, MEAT! its screams quality meat and is seasoned to perfection. The gaffer even throw in an extra sausage for me TOP BLOKE!

chips - 10
sausage - 10
ketchup - 10 it has to be heinz lol
service - 10

overall - 9.75/10 would be 10 if it wasn't for the fact you had to pay 30p for ketchup!
The value of the meal is also great whole meal with a drink came to £3.70!

MGP is the MVP for this competition. Not only for his shameless OCUK love but also the random pickle. I love pickles however I would never dare take one from any of the chippy's around me! Trust me your details and I will send your prize out tomorrow!
