The Return of the Flight Simulation.

Yep, awesome stuff. Originally, afair, it was meant to be an add-on for LOMAC, but there were too many limitations with the engine, so they made their own.

Wasn't the (W)AH-64 Apache meant to be in it ?

I miss the old fashioned flight simulators - back when you didnt have to trwal through a manual the size of the Oxford Dictinary just to find out how to start the engines.

A kind of midpoint between arcade style shoot-em ups and the bloated 'UBER REALISTIC!!!' simulations would be just great....

i dint like the think in f simulator x that u could not crash the plane i hope they fix that in the new one

wasn't there the whole thing where one of the MS flight sims was used for training the 9/11 guys, so they removed the ability to crash the planes?

iirc..

Nope, they simply removed the towers from FS2002. FS has never had crash* support without 3rd party add ons.

* As in nice big explosions & bits everywhere....

Does Blackshark include planes or is it just helicopters?

Edit:- Forgot to mention that an A-10a and then an AH-64 Apache are planned after the Ka-50, so it will have a plane....eventually.

Just one flyable helicopter, the Ka-50 Black shark. For the AI of course there will be loads of planes, for example.....

Black Shark should be awesome

Also keen to see Jet Thunder - simulation of the air war over the Falklands. Be interesting to fly a fully simulated Sea Harrier on carrier ops.
