Hello everyone,

The right channel on my Asus Essence STX II 7.1 card sometimes refuses to work after rebooting the PC. I've checked the 2.1 system connected to it, including the cabling, and it works fine. The sound from the motherboard is good too.

Initially, this happened once every 3 months (I cold reboot once a week, the PC is on 24/365), then it became more frequent, about every 3-4 reboots. If the reboot goes well, I've never had a problem afterwards... until the next reboot.

There was no progress after reinstalling the STX_II_8_1_11_5_win10 driver.

As I assembled the PC myself, I had no trouble opening it up and checking the board, its power supply, cables and soldering, as well as the components. Everything looks good, but I'm not a connoisseur.

The PC was assembled in 2019 and I'm using Windows 10 Pro v1903 (no update since). The motherboard is an Asus TUF Z370-Pro Gaming.

After 10 months of wrestling with this, I've run out of ideas.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Thank you very much for your answers.

Are they stock or upgraded?

These are the original amplifiers.

Possibly one of the relays not working, IIRC this model has relays to swap between headphone and speaker output - if it happens try swapping the output device between headphone and speakers and back again and see if that results in it working.

Do you mean that I connect the 6.35 headphone output into the 3.5 mini-jack cable that goes to the system 2.1 using an adapter? No risk of damaging the electronics because of a different impedance or level?

I have this on the interface, unfortunately in French; this would be the setting marked Sortie analogique?
