Upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops begins to fray. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything is called into question — including who they can rely on.

Starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck & Directed by Joe Carnahan, The Rip is only on Netflix, January 16.

Yeah trailer looks decent enough and has piqued my interest enough to watch it, not sure what to expect though as a lot of new stuff has been disappointing

looks promising, like this type of thing. So long as its straight, these two are great in 100% serious roles, fourtunatly it doesnt look like its going to be "light hearted"

First half to 2/3rds was pretty good, but the last 1/3rd kind of unravelled and they could have done much better and pretty meh as a pay off for the build up.
Have to agree. Watched it last night and it really fizzled out which I'm sure wasn't the plan!

Watching the interview from Matt and Ben, describing how Netflix wants things done, is so sad. Catering for an audience who are on their phones just ruins it for everyone.

Typical Netflix money grab, 4/10.

It is a weird one - if it wasn't for some things not making much sense (though they could have been explained by script purposes) I'd have given the first half a solid 9/10 - 10/10 if they'd tightened up some of the inconsistencies, but then around 2/3rds in it is like they just stopped bothering to make things make sense, there is no way a cartel would be that scared of and write off 20 million over that bunch of jokers... ending was really limp - 4/10 overall is pretty much spot on, could easily have been a 9/10 movie if they'd made more effort.

Kind of film I used to enjoy when I was 12, watched this out of curiosity but just couldn't be bothered to watch to the end. Think I got to the part he was spraying the armoured truck with gunfire and I thought 'it's an armoured truck ffs' .
