Something is happening in the world of graphics and it is a sea change that is bringing benefits to everyone in the industry. AMD has always sought to offer the best possible GPU with our Radeon line of products but not since the purchase of ATI in 2006 has the company had the strength it has now.

Have they not included the Titan black?

Can not be bothered reading the small print as it maybe by the gaming scientist who tells porkies.

Think thats more down to the poor website design than the AMD guy though. Using 3Dmark as a sole indicator of performance is a bit silly though, as everyone know isn't that blind knows the following 2 facts:

1 - 38 point difference in 3D mark is such a small margin they probably trade positions even on 3D on their own setup over multiple runs each.
2 - many games work on one brand of GPU better than the other brand, regardless of what 3D mark says anyway due to optimisation.

Yes but we all know to have any credibility in this section you need to do a benchmark re-run every time the wind changes direction.
 
Just as you never believe nvidia's FPS improvements due to new drivers you shouldn't trust benchmarks performed by a company that has a potential monetary benefit from the results.
 
That's a good score on the 290X, Let me just run 3DMark on my 780 Ti to see if I can match the results.

AMD really need to try a bit harder with these advertizing tables and stats, I just did a quick an dirty overclock on both 290X and 780 Ti and got better scores than their PR department which isn't saying much on my part, I'm sure the really experienced lads like Kaapstad, Boomstick777 and the other guys could get a lot higher.

AMD need to start overclocking their stuff for these things and maybe hire some of the lads :D

They could just do the same with the 290x though, which just proves my point even more. They trade blows constantly in many different programs. This is just a PR thing from AMD and I don't blame them as Nvidia always stroke the "we have the fastest card" gonad when they have a card that wins in a synthetic benchmark too.
 
From what I can make out of the small print I see tested by amd labs and tested with a 4770k....great promotion of the opposition's cpus :P
 
Really good to see such a healthy dose of cynicism from the OcUK members when presented with a graph from people with a vested interest in how they look. Agreed that AMD is in an excellent position (as are Nvidia) and certainly the best I remember since rejoining the PC Master Race (when the HD2900 Pro was released), but I am definitely surprised to see the 290X above the 780TI, and the 280X above the 770.
