The Rising Storm team are proud to present you with a little something to whet your appetites for the forthcoming Rising Storm expansion to Red Orchestra 2: a teaser video showcasing the Iwo Jima level. This map features the beaches and tunnels of the heavily defended 'home island' with its iconic landmark, Mt Suribachi. This is the first map-specific material to be seen and hints at some of the goodies and new features coming in Rising Storm.

I'm really looking forward to this. RO2 is good but I can see the mod makers making this game incredible.

loooool might aswell just copied cod2 or moh aa :D

Eh well, then COD2 and MOH:AA might as well just copied Saving Private Ryan. (although AA was created by Spielberg).

I think this will be a great mod. The maps are lacking in RO2 but I can imagine the Iwo Jima maps will be large and offer plenty of "oh crap" moments.

Was a RO Veteran but was disappointed in RO2, it was a step back even leaps behind from the first game. As a result Ro2 is pretty much dead, its community is tiny compared to the first game and the servers are pretty much full of bots as they they don't have any player base. I don't see how Rising storm can do well if they release it as paid for content, just splits an already small base of player further.

It was sad playing RO2 on release, seeing lots of old Ro vet names around the game was swell for awhile, then we just started dropping like files as the game just didn't hold up. I may be ignorant in saying this but, when they announced RO2 sold most number of copies of any game they have made, it annoyed me as they simply didn't deserve it.

+1 About 75% of the servers I join are full of bots the game has died its a real shame as RO1 was one of the best WW2 shooters I have played I'm not sure what happened to the development team but RO2 is worse than RO1

Not a big fan of RO2, it just feels unnecessarily "clunky" to play. The movement is sluggish, the cover system is painful to use (how many times have I bandaged myself when I wanted to cover). You basically feel like someone with really poor coordination skills, aiming a weapon is like trying to point a piece of rope.

I did find the same problems with RO1 but I saw it as being "eccentric" and that it added character to the game, but I expected a huge improvement for RO2 and its the same clunkiness all over again.

Its not a awful game it just didn't live up to my expectations.
