Watched this a few days ago and is absolute hilarity... maybe less so if you are not a parent but even then is surely chuckle worthy... The first child entering the room is funny enough... The toddler bulldozing in on his walker ups the ante, and the mum power sliding in (military style) and dragging them out of the room by the 'scruffs of their neck' is hillarious and adorable at the same time... All while poor Bobby tries to keep a straight face and talk about the serious political situation in Korea.

Anyway, apparently people have been going crazy because lots of people assumed (on social media etc) that the 'mum' was the 'nanny' which raises questions about 'white man oppression of asian woman etc'. as the guy was living in Korea and it is obviously inconceivable he could have married and mated with an Asian... Moreover, the people who thought it was the nanny as opposed to the wife commented on the babies looking 'more western than Asian', so 'racism' enters the picture... The final nail in the coffin is that some people said that Robert looks 'too old' to be the partner of the woman which, good lord, brings 'ageism' in to the whole debate.... OMG so much offence!!! What to do?

So basically what was initially a funny video that could bring joy to the world, has been made a vehicle for the 'LET'S TAKE OFFENCE AT WHAT SOMEONE SAID BRIGADE'.... What a poor reflection on society we live in... I know stuff wasn't perfect 20 years ago (probaly more paedophiles etc), but wasn't life so much more care free when people didnt get upset about the slightest thing? Much like Robert, I am a 'Western guy' married to an 'Asian woman' with 'mixed race children'... If I had recieved such commentary on my family about my wife being a nanny or my children looking more like me (all my wife's family say this BTW), or me looking 'too old for her' I would have had a laugh with her about it and or taken the **** (urine)... Surely life is much too short with people dying of cancer or in warzones etc. to worry about 'being offended'?

TLDR; don't go out of your way to be offended about stuff. Life is to short to care about silly things.

Did see this and thought it was quite humorous, but also read the aftermath too.
To be honest, I thought immediately it was probably his wife as , after all, he is an expert on Korea, so suggests a strong chance he has lived and/or worked there and mixed with the people.
Really couldn't understand the fuss, too much analysis of every situation these days.

I fail to see why it makes a difference if it's his wife or a nanny. Shock as nanny in Korea may be Asian in appearance :eek:

I wouldn't even say to assume she's a nanny in that case is wrong. When I grew up most of my friends nannies were black or Asian. So from my experience it's a logical assumption.

I was in love with my friends Italian nanny. Ahhhh to be 7 again.

The population now is about 7.4 billion.

That automatically means there are more paedophiles now actually. If the media's estimates are correct then there are actually One Hundered Million more paedophiles in 2017 than there were in 1997.

Actually the peadophile population is relative no matter where you "live" lol. Why would you want to say that most peados live somewhere where you don't??? I can bet you there are a lot of peados where you live too. I don't like the thought of peado's living near my family too but lets not be completely ignorant here and try to focus the issue to one small area. That's just bizarre and doesn't help matters at all.

I thought the final nail in the coffin was the Facebook armchair police calling child abuse at the way the mum (same people called her the nanny) grabbed the children. Honestly, reading some of the comments made me want to rage quit. I see they've been interviewed by the Beeb as a family now too.

Strange post, suspect you are trying your hand at being TW Fox or something (god knows why). Of course the number of paedos is not a linear relationship with population as there are so many more variables than that... If you go back in time to biblical times when it was 'ok' to copulate with a 13 year old then technically almost everyone was a paedo... Of course this is a silly example but you can't just use linear populaion growth to extropolate numbers etc.... My initial point about the 80s and early 90s being 'more innocent times' was of course slightly flippant with my paedo comment perhaps contrasting that observation with a degree of irony... But hopefully you get the gist, if not, sorry, nevermind, move on etc.
