When i first got this i enjoyed it. The second listen through it i was more impressed. The third time, i was very impressed, and so on.
It's just one of those records. The Roots pulled out a massive album for their first recording for Def Jam. The melodies are as immense as ever as you expect from The Roots and almost entirely based around their own instrumental creations, and the lyrics are more political than ever which is brave in this era.
I thoroughly recommend this to anyone with a taste for the finer side of "hip hop", or similiar.
