The RTX 2080 pre-order thread

Hello,

I have no idea what I'm doing, would one of you kind people direct me towards the 2080ti pre-order thread? I seem to be missing discussion on this, I remember with the 1080ti, this forum was great for know what coming in to stock so I can act quickly. I have 2080TI Gaming X Trio. It definetly exists I saw a vlogger testing two them in SLI, very fancy.

Looks like all the retailers are sticking to around £749 as a minimum right now.

It's the nvidia price standoff, which retailer will budge first and how long is it going to take? :D

I'd imagine there'll be some kind of minimum price in place for a few months so they can't undercut buying directly from them? I'd also imagine most retailers would be selling at a loss if they could go below that.

Well, I think Nvidia want the 2080 to slightly look bad because they and all the AIB's have loads of 1080Ti to sell. Everyone seems to be falling for it:p

They seem not worried about selling 2080's they know they'll sell sooner or later regardless:D

Just my opinion of course;)

You might be right, maybe they're limiting performance on purpose and a driver will be released next month which provides a performance boost only for the 20 series cards. :D

Just received an email from Nvidia saying my ti will ship between 5-9th Oct expedited delivery. I ordered 10 mins after the keynote and had an original 20th slot.

man that's crap.. keep your eye on some of the re-sellers you may end up paying a bit more but ASUS Ti's are currently in stock on OCUK?

I hate this waiting game we do each release. If it gets mid October for my Ti from OCUK I'll cancel. Red Dead 2 will have my time from end of October until xmas anyway so I don't know why I'm so arsed lol

EDIT: a large competitor site has updated ETA's. Half the Ti's (including the gigabytes which I have ordered) are now ETA 15th Oct, others are later. MSI cards seem have 27th Sept  be nice if OCUK customers could get some updates in the forums.

The listing I bought from changed to 15th October today lol. Really hoping that's not the case for mine, rather pre orders done now. I'm gonna have to confirm tomorrow...

My MSI Dukes are out for delivery today, looks like stock arrived yesterday... However they seem to have shipped via Yodel and I’m not in, so I guess those are lost for good or in a bush soon :D

Why don't they just use DPD like everybody else! At least with them if you're not in you can send it to a DPD collection point. Insane that a retailer would trust Yodel with a £715-1500 item.
