The Running Man

I'll stick to the Arnie version.

This is just yet another in a long line of creatively bankrupt remakes that were neither wanted or needed.
But it's not really a "remake" because that was nothing like the book and this is more inline with the book.

It's a bit like saying Peter Jackson shouldn't have made Lord of the rings, because the animated one already existed.

I still enjoyed it but agree overall not as good as Arnie's version. It started off good but it kinda faltered in the last act. Still worth a watch even as a once off. Its corny and cheesy but tries to hard emulate the other version and works to a degree. Recognised large parts of the Glasgow including Chinatown lol

I saw it last night at the Stafford Odeon. Because of the editing style in some modern films, I found it hard to follow in places and the end montage was confusing but I did enjoy the film overall. Probably a 6/10. Ben Richards said "I'll be back" near the beginning which might have been a reference to Arnie. I liked the graphics / visuals from clips of other game shows and adverts. The bit where the mansion got invaded by cops reminded me of Skyfall.
