The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

I'm still getting a crazy amount of DXGI error crashes in BF1, no matter what driver try, what clocks I run, DX11 or 12 matters not in game (dx12 is so bad though). Every other game is 100% problem free if memory serves me correct.

I had this a lot in Battlefront 2 and it turns out it was my weak attempt at overclocking. Since I have been using balanced profile not crashed yet.
Have you tried dialing back the overclock for this game? Great thing about Crimson profiles you can even have overclock profiles :D

Quickly popped GPU-Z on, and ran the render test for a bit, was saying the core was running over 1700, was anywhere from 1714MHz, to about 1767MHz, and the temp, only went to around 51, can't see that being right, especially when it reckons its only doing about 30MHz @ idle, with the memory only doing 167MHz.:p

Jesus, thought id killed it there!, i popped HWinfo64 on, went to the Sensors, came up about some Intel thing detected, that may put too much load on, and cause instability (had the CPU open in the left pane at the time), so said no to monitoring that, and that was it, no signal, card slowed down, red light went off on the power connector, restarted a couple of times, wouldn't have it, no single LED lit on the power connector, monitor no signal, so hard switched off, back on, and she fired back up ok, just had to do the old start Windows normally.

^ I've had that happen with HWINFO and Vega a couple of times. Power system off fixes it, weird one.

Yeah was well weird, was still on, just no LEDs lit on the power connector, and when id restarted, it looked like it was doing it, as keyboard lit up, mouse etc..., just card looked dead, as no power LEDs lit, just the cube, and the Radeon logo. :p

Im off to change me keks now :D

I feel your pain, i had a similar experience with three Vega GPUs. I go commando these days. :D

It should be after you click reset, it will be in the balanced profile. Just make sure you check HBM voltage is at 950 if you select custom and want to let the card run at its full potential.

Didn't have to click reset, as never been in to it before, was already Greyed out, on the balanced profile when i first selected the Global Wattman, and yeah, i'll make sure the voltage is at 950, if i swap it to custom. :)

EDIT: Im just wondering if it was just the Metro 2033 bench (as it was doing a 'not responding' in the TM), as ive just ran through the Last Light one fine. :p

I stil can't believe the average fps in it, is only around 16fps slower than what my 2x Fury Pros in Xfire were giving :D
