Because people writing driver software also do the website development and/or maintenance? Well, not quite, three entirely different areas of expertise.

Core temps quite fine but fps on most games and benchmark scores were really not what i expected. About 15k score on firestrike 1080p default :/ maybe its my 4690k bottlenecking? Cant be as in neither benchmarks nor games does it ever go above 50% usage.
1 day after installing it im playing rainbow six siege after several hours the pc just turns off and refuses to power on after that. I place my gtx 970 back and it powers up fine again. Guess that vega just died after 1 day... To my amaze as well core never went above 60C but when i checked the actual card physically it was around the 80'sC.

Anyone else experienced any kind of similar oddities or i just got a bad card on the lottery?

Now gotta wait 15 days for replacement ans it just gor out of stock on ****** :(

Sorry to hear you have problems. It's so annoying when that happens.

Things to try,

Download DDU and go into safe mode and uninstall all AMD and Nvidia Drivers.

Then install the 17.11.1 drivers. I had issues with mine when installing the 17.11.2 drivers without installing the 17.11.1 drivers first.

did you try the other bios on the card? Maybe it's a faulty bios and just needs a reflash.

Oh wait, just after reading the rest of your post. It's completely dead now? Hope you can get a replacement quickly!!

No, obviously they are different teams, I was just mentioning it doesn't inspire confidence when downloading software for such an expensive tech item when faced with an error page for the driver.

While i remember, the 17.11.2 drivers seem to have a bug where when you set a custom setting and play a game, when you close the game and hover over the reset setting button on wattman the entire thing crashes.
Also when i set Hbcc to on, the screen goes black for a long time and when it returns it mentions something about no found driver installed for my hardware, please install the correct driver for my device, but in wattmatt it shows the hbcc is on.

anyone else have either of these issues?

No I think you are on to something there, maybe he was on the power saving bios which is why none of the settings were changing for him. For sanity @AngelofDeath69 try to switch to the other bios setting on your card and see if it works

17.11.2's were buggy for me, tried DDU and reinstalling etc, but they only worked properly after I installed the 17.11.1s first.

It's going in the right direction and it took a few months and a few driver boosts to get Fiji up where it should have been from the start, I imagine it'll be the same for Vega..
