The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

Nope, even in GFX score in this bench you still need a high CPU frequency to overcome a CPU limitation.

Sorry Matt but no that's not the case.
The graphics score is calculated during gt1 and gt2 only. If you observe core loading there's very little load on the cpu threads. The gpu will be loaded all the way.

My 64 at 1400/1000
4770k 3.5ghz all cores
http://www.3dmark.com/fs/14348250
g score 22295

64 1400/1000
4770k 4.3ghz all cores

g score 22296

Where the cpu matters is in the combined, where rightly as you say the cpu if not strong enough can prevent Vega from clocking up to it's potential/gpu load won't be fully utilised.

Unfortunately my Vega64 is not the best clocker but I don't mind.:)
Something's not right there my vega 64 on air gets that at a held 1550mhz, what actual core clock is that holding in Gt1 and Gt2 and at what voltage?
gt1 will power throttle due to current ramp up, but gt2 you should see higher clocks.

I see that my cpu is never going to allow me to match your unigine score, fancy a firestrike test 1+2 competition? I know i can get 25,000 + on the graphics score there.
Actually CPU does not matter in Unigine Superposition, it's all about GPU muscle.

Go on then.

Interesting clock speeds on that benchmark.....
Core clock
26 MHz
Memory bus clock
167 MHz
Must be some kind of mutant Vega 512 shader edition xD

Slowly heading in the right direction. However I got a lower score once I overclocked the GPU despite achieving higher clocks.

You can get much better than that, you should be around the 24,000 mark for the gfx score.
Good score though
How are the temps? If they go to high you will get slower speeds even though the clock of core and hbm will show correctly, the timings will reduce i believe.
Hence why people need to undervolt to overclock.

I've used so many settings over the months i forget which are the good ones, i'm currently on 1100hbm @950mv and p6 and p7 950mv 1688 and 1750 (on liquid bios)
Before that on the air, i was 1050mv hbm @1100mhz and p6 and p7 with 1600 , 1700 1050mv

If that helps at all :/
