The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

I recon I can add a few points to my score.:D

I will give it a go tomorrow.:)
Actually CPU does not matter in Unigine Superposition, it's all about GPU muscle.

Go on then.

SCORE 21876 with AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid(1x) and AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X
Graphics Score
25316
Physics Score
31051
Combined Score
8885

I'll let you have this victory Tony. :p

Done me by 3 points. Interesting how my graphics score is higher than yours but you're running 50mhz more on clock.

@Kaapstad nicely done mate epic score that.

Is there anyone here who is a member of overclock.net forum? I need a bios powerplay table reg thing, I keep asking here but no one seems to reply/know.

I just want to increase PL from +50 to more , I have a reg tweak but it hasn't worked since 17.11.x drivers

The reason i ask is that on 64 Air bios at 1750 /1100 +100% PL i get a much better score than on the LC bios at 1750/1100 and MUCH lower temps also (76.c compared to 88.C on the hotspot)

If anyone can help I will buy them a beer/coffee/hotchocolate/donut/pretzel/teddybear.

Wattmatt can help maybe?

I wouldn't bother, i saw no gain at all in a few benches and games with higher than 50% power limit when i tried the 150% power limit reg tweak.

@gupsterg can probably point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the reply matt.

I only ask because i did my own testing and like i said, i can get 1750 core on the 64 air bios with this tweak and it performs faster than the Lc bios at the same clocks but with lower temps. Crazy but true i promise.
Problem is the reg file i used to use no longer works with the recent drivers.
Anynews on adrenalin ?

Could definitely have a benefit for an AC Vega, but no benefit for me on the LQ version.

No official news. :p

Be careful, if you add 50% to a LC BIOS the TDP will exceed the cards rated inputs (could theoretically damage the mobo or PSU).

For gaming purposes you are the one with the best score (graphics tests).:)

Yeah i was referring to G points. GPU usage was not at 99% solid throughout the bench, so even though i had higher clocks i think my score G was held back a little bit.

The leaderboards need altering then as it's always been sorted by 3dmark score not the graphics score :)

All the same Vega64 is a great card really doesn't deserve all the hate. A little is justified but it' not a total failure, games are terrific on it.

Is this true?
In theory yes though that doesn't mean it will happen in practice. If you increase the power limit of a 264w TDP card by 50% that raises it to 396w, if the card only has power sources rated at a combined 375w (a pair of 8pin connectors rated at 150w each and a PCI-E slot rated at 75w) to draw it's power from that means allowing the card to run up to it's new power limit will exceed the spec on at least one of those sources.

What are your settings for getting 1800mhz on the core tony turbo (certainly earned the name) as soon as i set 1800 in wattmatt or some such program and run a bench mark it crashes instantly...
