The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

hey guys , wanted to share this and get some opinions, did I just get ** Fully Star out all swearing ** solid undervolter here? or is this common for Vega LC's (not Vega 10's with Liquid solutions)

My stock was p7 - 1752 MHz /1180 MHz @ 1.2V/1V

To test somethings with my PSU, I tried an undervolt, and I ended up with p7 -1700 MHz / 1180 MHz @ 1070mV/ 950 mV and it's totally stable. I tested this once in Superposition (and people can try this), I got a difference of only 0.8 fps going from my stock to undervolt, BUT, ended up saving about 120W ( i.e avg consumption in AC:O = 190W (stock is about 280-290W) (WTF IS THIS SORCERY, with a rare peak of 215W) ), other games I've seen going upto 230W.

Did I just get lucky here?

56 with water cooler here on a Lc Bios

I set wattman to 1777 p7 @1033mv to get 1699 mhz core, then 960mv hbm to get 1180 like you to run at 150-200 watts with 0% powerlimit but this is also because i was very very lucky with the chip on my card. As did you

And yes this is black magic, i bought the 56 card in august from here for £389, sold my fury x for £325 first, then paid £100 for a Aio Eiswolf, so essentially paid £174 for a lc 64 performing graphics card.

I have also conveyed my feelings and reported your post as we have families reading these forums and bad language is not needed.
 
I understand both points, and such is the world becoming that you wont be able to say mankind, or police man soon enough, let alone swear (you have been fined 5 credits for swearing e.t.c)
But for the sake of getting along just call people countries or motherhubbard, and say poo it's also funnier in the long run.
My 2 cents, now get off my backs or shut the front door.

Unfortunately, the board owners have the Freedom Of Banning People For Not Following Their Rules. No private individual or company has to give you a platform to express yourself. They are a bit strict on that sort of thing around here.

I get your point definitely, I'll edit my post. Didn't expect something like that to blow up for no reason lol, it's not like I was rude towards other members or even their hardware which IMO would be the right grounds to initiate any action. Looking at my post history would itself validate my usage of that word. That's my only point.

The board owners and mods set the rules, so they decide what the "right grounds" are for action. Unfortunately, it looks like all the rules that were stickied were accidentally deleted at the beginning of December, and have not been retrieved, so there are no rules to point you at.

Aaannnd, you're suspended. Hope you make it back soon!

Its why I wanted an AMD reference AIO card. I heard great things about AMD's reference design so went with it.

It's a lovely card, I sent mine back due to issues with it but the actual build is second to none. If I'd had the money available when the price went gone down I'd of bought another one.

I have been sent on a week holiday away from the forum for saying the F word that's not directed toward anyone but just in a humor/joking way (also thinking no harm done so should be ok), so I wouldn't push your luck if I were you.

1180 on HBM seems really extreme and considerably higher than what most cards can achieve I would have thought. I can benchmark at 1100+ but when it comes to actual gaming it's not stable that high. Mass Effect Andromeda would freeze occasionally at 1100 HBM and I get mild artefacting (little flashes of red stars the best way to describe it) with some games, this happened in Dead by Daylight, Hellblade: Senua's sacrifice, Hollow & Bioshock Remastered to name a few. For me between 1050 and 1075 is much more stable to live with for every day gaming. Have you tried gaming at 1180?

Why do it period because as has been proven, come across a board that wont tolerate it and you’re on a holiday. So why bad practice? Should be on your best behaviour everywhere. :)

It was actually few years back and like the guy I quoted I too thought since it wasn't directed toward anyone in an offensive manner, so I thought it should be fine; but I have learn it the hard way, and wisen-up since then, hence why I am telling the other guy not to try to push his luck :p
 
I find this completely ridiculous, you should warn someone that they will get suspended before actually doing it, and if the rules "accidentally are deleted" at the beginning of December, then even more reason to verbally ask to remove the swearing before just suspension as there is no evidence that he has even broken a rule!!
Not very customer friendly, I mean at the least just edit the swearing as a mod and then warn him to not ever do that.

What are we? a bunch of stuck up gentlemen from the 1950's .... I'm 37 and i find this attitude disgusting towards a member that was just very very very happy with a product he BOUGHT from THIS company.
