The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

I thought ther Ti was around 70% or more faster.

Pretty sure upon release, they were talking around 60-70% slower than the Ti.

A Vega 64 Liquid will do about 10-12%~ faster than an AIC 1080. 1080ti is on average 20-25% faster than a 1080 (on a really broad average, but you'll still find many games where a 1080ti is 30-35% faster than 1080 )

A Vega 64 reference would be about 5-8% slower than 1080 (Not 100% sure on this one).

So my vega card is back to normal, for those having the same or similar problems as me as we discussed last week.
This is what i did to my pc before i then realised the gpu had completely stopped crashing like it has for months.

Removed Gpu-z (was conflicting with crimson and causing a driver crash)
Changed my ram from xmp to manually setting the speed.
Re seated my ram into slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3 ( something was wrong with slot 1 i discovered)
Liquid cooled my cpu and re adjusted the overclock of the i5 6600k (4.6ghz) changing vlineload calibration to high and making uncore 4.6 also, + cpu flex at 3.5 ghz
Over clocked the ram from 2666 to 2800mhz (just because)

Not sure which of these solved my problem, i would say the ram.
But i am back to running 1700+ and 1130 hbm, no crashes on games at all now with no need to -power limits

I also added 2 extra fans to the 240mm eiswolf radiator to create push pull and never go above 60 degrees at full load now.

Hope this helps someone, and also is a "in your face" to the guy who was saying i broke the card fiddling too much (in a joke way im not taunting you)

My little 56 will beat any 1080.. post a score and i'll show you

I just picked the highest score in the bench thread to see if you could as there are no 56's above the 1080 in there

My 56 is on a lc bios with watercooling.
I got 4448 with amd blockchain driver (as thats what was installed when i read your post) 1756 1100 hbm
But only get 4112 with the newest driver 1722 1180 hbm
I don't understand how people are getting 5299 on a vega 64 with only 1777 core and 1105 hbm.... it's baffling me. My cpu is clocked higher

I don't believe it.

I can beat the 1080's though if i roll back to the 17.10.1 driver or whichever it was that was the damn fast one a few months ago. seems like performance from the drivers is going down not up.

If someone knows how to run 16:9 Superposition 1080p (like it does on 4k optimized) on my 21:9 monitor, I can try these too. My all out profile is 1750 Mhz / 1180 Mhz.

For reference I get about 7168~ or so post-Adrenalin on 4k optimized.

Here you go...

Ironically, score number 56 at present too.
Vega 56 1709/1090MHz
Ryzen Threadripper 1920x @ 4GHz
Crimson 17.11.2

Lets see then, Need to walk the walk when you say

;)
Im on it
Still don't know how those 64's get 5100 though, it baffles me.

Thats the same i can push mine too but the scores arent as good as on previous drivers with much lower clocks and hbm..... weird
