I have my Vega 64 set to 1602 at 1000MV and I've always considered it underclocked, obviously I outperform an out of the box reference Vega 64, but that's entirely down to the abysmal default settings.

martini is correct, however it appears to be temp based. noticed this quite a bit actually. note my chips has no problem running 1700 on air without any issue at around 70 degrees when overclocked.

No he isn't read the convo..
You have two VEGA 64 GPUs the only change between the two is how they are cooled the rest of the GPU remains the same. On air P6 is the cards stock clock sure it will boost into P7 if the temperature is right but for normal use 1546 is the norm. Liquid VEGA will 100% always be at P7 state that is this GPUs stock clock!
Air Cooled = 1546 - Stock! with the ability to boost higher given the correct voltage.
Liquid = 1677 - Stock but mostly likely to boost higher because how its cooled.
Even AMD states this lol are the makers of these wrong?
Boost Frequency 1546 / 1677(liquid)
spot on.If they're exactly the same but the only difference is how they're cooled then it doesn't really constitute a rebuttal. You've literally just said that the air cooled Vega 64 is set the same as the liquid, the only reason it can't maintain clocks is cooling.
AMD certainly list the P6 as the stock boost, but factually it's set to 1632 on the air cooler (Which you've also said. Which is basically my whole point)
if it helps mine is a 56No he isn't read the convo..

Woooooow, I bought this for £679.99 on the 31st of March. Should have waited.
They're still over £100+ too expensive, as the faster 1080s are only £499.

The vega is just better full stop, it has character, you can fiddle with it and its faster than a 1080 when configured correctly. Not faster in terms of compute power. Fast FP16 means that Vega 64 is a significantly better card than the 1080 for certain tasks like rendering.
That's cool, glad you got one.Well guys I'm back, and I now have a vega 64 ref to replace my burnt 56 .
Big shout out to Vince from the forum here for joining me on my quest to London to go and get it (absolutely awesome guy) turns out the guys place I went to he had 17 vega mining together and a stack of 13 ish more vega's in his bedroom and was a really really nice guy.(shame he got banned for coming on here to help me)
I will resist the urge to fiddle with this one.
My Vega crossfire kept me warm over winter XDWait a little while longer and it almost sounds like a multiple-GPU solution is on the cards
My liquids doing around 1696 in ROTTR, with it capped at 60, and in GTA V, over 1700, with a 70 cap.
