Matt, I don't suppose you know why the original 3 x 8 pin power arrangement was changed on these Sapphire Vegas? There wasn't a spec change to the chip or anything like that?

Maybe Sapphire just ditched the extreme overclocking option to cut costs

I've got no idea mate i have nothing to do with Sapphire, best to open a support ticket and ask them directly.

They probably realised the 3rd 8-pin connector was pointless and removed it to save 50p.

@Boomstick777 Could you post a screenshot of what Sapphire's GLOW utility allows you to adjust on the card? http://asia.dl.sapphiretech.com/archive/gm/drivers/TRIXXNitroGlow.exe

It was more a curiosity thing, figured it would be a Sapphire engineering decision rather than an AMD thing. Thanks anyway Matt.

Ah yeah, you could be right. I didn't spend more than half and hour, hour tops, looking in the box for the 3rd connector from my V56 when it arrived

The Beautiful people at overclockers just told me on the phone that my RMA'd card replacement is on it's way to me as we speak, the 56 red devil.
I'm quite excited, anyone have any views on this card? it's ram? its 64 biosability ?it's water cooling potential?
I know I asked about the dragon already, but this is the devil
