The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

Its the nitro+ on air :)

Ahh that explains it worked, because I have a Nitro also :D
On the settings above raise the clock speeds until ti crashes, possibly at P6 1660, P7 1700.
Dont raise power or voltage. When it crashes, raise power Limit to 50%. Keep voltage the same.

Assuming you do not go gun ho, for 376W power consumption :P
-------------------------------------

@Lokken86 argh Raprorpg has a Nitro :p that why it worked.
Lol. :D

Going back to the settings you show me few pages back, if you put
P6 1040mv - 1580
P7 1060mv - 1590

Power Limit +25%
HBM 1100
The power under the HBM set it to 1080mv

Temps
85C max
75C min.

Fans
1800 minimum
2000 maximum and start raising the speed slowly 500 at the time.

Let me know how it goes.

-----------------------------------------

I was looking at some benchmarks from eg Tomshardware.... They had locked their Red Devil to 1847 rpm!!!!!!
No wonder the performance it showed on their benchmarks. Poor thing was boiling. :(

Feel safe to raise power to P6 1090mv and P7 1100mv to see how high it can go :)
Thanks will tonight. I have another question in which bios mode do you set the card? What the bios switch does seems to be a bit confusing and hard to find any info on the SE version compared to the LE.

You know forgot that this one exists :p
Mine is set to the right as you see the card upside down in the case.

I will try to find out and let you know :D

@Lokken86 mate, with your PC turned off. Change the BIOS switch and try the overclocking settings gain

Yeah its weird on the LE edition it was a way to set the card as overclocked or not but from what I see on Sapphire website for the SE version it is just standard vs uefi bios.
I will try also tonight just wondering if you knew it on top of your head :)

No unfortunately but just switched it. Seems more power delivered on Power Save & Balanced Modes, while as same 276W cap retains higher clocks on the Turbo mode, but nothing spectacular over Balanced.
I will go for full overclock later on today and see :)

Hmm the card clocks the same..... Surely there was one power saving bios one not?

Yes I was trying it last night actually because my card just never wanta to take more than 250w. Unfortunately it didn't work for power consumption but it does allow me to reduce voltage more at higher clocks than it was. Can get it to 1600 at around 1030mv or something.

The issue definitely seems heat related though. Even though my card can stay at low ish temps, it's almost like it begins throttling at 60-65c.

Hmm so the card by default is on Legacy mode not UEFI mode. Ofc my card doesn't have that button but a positional switch.

Cheers. I will have a play with the settings :)
Looks like even at sapphire nobody knows exactly what those cards features are. They are still advertising their tool to check their fan despite the fact that it was removed the new version with Vega support month ago and never rereleased it :(

Did you tried to change the bios switch position when you PC was turned off also?

Yes and I expected the default balanced or Turbo setting to change but they didn't. Maybe it wasn't working.

Leave it to the "second" setting, and try overclocking with the settings gave you above.

I hope you bought the card brand new and not used one yes? Because if you got used from miner might be flashed.

Also can you post your GPUZ screenshot please?

Got it on member market but no I don't think it was mined with. I can double check the bios to see of it is the correct one though.

Is a miners card mate flashed with the 250W bios.

download this.
Take a screenshot with one bios setting. Turn off the PC. Switch bios. and take a screenshot of the next one.

Post here your GPUZ and Atiflash screenshots :)
