The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

I think it's position in regards to properly DX12 designed games as well as Vulkan games will show the Vega as being a good challenger for the 2080 and even the 2080Ti in certain circumstances. After all it has higher compute performance than both ;)

was giving me around 1705mhz actual, I guess I could run 1150mv or even higher to get the core hitting closer to 1750mhz, might be something to look at further down the line when I try and chase 28k :p:D I just like to keep my wattage in check, I like 270w and try and maximise speed at that wattage.

Tried your settings, and cannot go nowhere near.

Just 26371 graphic score. :(

That's a juicy lead for Vega there. Modern API's giving AMD the benefits without Gameworks messing things up.

Looks like it may be a start to a trend as Forza Horizon 4 also runs really well too.

Vega 64 is doing really well in games that actually leverage the hardware, In Forza 4 at 1440P it's only 1FPS behind a 1080 Ti according to the OC3D FH4 review, REALLY impressive.

interesting. Not enough juice going through the card? What did you use when you got your 26979 score? How many runs did you do? It might have hiccuped if just one run. Did you turn off freesync? turn off HBCC?
The 26900 run was with adaptive speed at 6% with 1175mv and 18.8.1.
Wrote few weeks back that the 18.9.1 and latter drop the perf on firestrike.
Freesync is off but HBCC is on, do you think that might be the issue? HBCC?

Could be the mobo also, as the Z370I Strix might holding back power. In 2 weeks I will have the 2920X and far superior motherboard either way.

But I don't give up :D
Btw tried to add 1125mv or 1130mv. It outright crashes, but works at 1120mv.

Yet other overclocks work at 1175, 1210 etc. Temps not the limit as it hold around 30C.

I have always benched with HBCC off. I've never actually compared which gives out better results to be honest.

HBCC benefits Superposition greatly (5000 becomes 5200 points in 1080p Extreme) however it barely affects Firestrike or Timespy. If anything it could hinder those. Will be doing a full bench of my rig soon as I hope to do some OC videos for ThreadRipper and Vega. Though hoping to get some better RAM for it. If not will just have to do it with this E-Die and aim to re-do the testing with some B-Die later.
