The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

They are decent blocks, but don't forget you may have to pay customs on top when it lands in the UK.
No they are pre-cleared, got one for the Nitro
I think the one I looked at mentioned pre customs cleared (if that’s even a thing?!) I’ll have a better look this evening.
You using one?

Yes you are correct, however first look at Watercool Heatkiller IV. If I remember collectedly is compatibly with Strix and I love mine.
And is cheap considering the EK prices.

can't seem to find any reference to what it actually fits (probably staring me straight in the face) may just plump for the bykski one though, the foreign place (not sure if I should be mentioning it) is offering $100 in free coupons which can be used on any purchase for new accounts. so in effect it's free - apart for any customs fees which shouldn't amount to anymore than about 15 quid.

The Bykski is a good block, I have it on the Nitro, and yes with the coupons cost me something like £70 delivered with customs etc.

customs and shipping cost 70 quid?? if the coupons took the block price down to zero shipping/customs shouldn't have been much over 15-20 quid (customs = 3.5% of value + 20% vat - roughly)

edit: oh wait - maybe your shipping was high?

£70 included the block and all expenses.
something's not right there then, the block itself is only about 70 quid. they either fleeced you on the carriage or customs over valued the block. assuming the block was around 70 quid (which is what most of them seem to be) and you used the vouchers to take the price to zero what shipping were you charged? customs would have charged 3.5% of the invoice value of the goods - 3.5% of £70 = £2.45, then 20% (vat) of the £70 = £14 totalling £16.45 (give or take)

I only used the 15 dollar discount. (2 coupons). It cost me on my paypal £72.26 to be precise.
At least that was the price back in July.

I'm finding Vega 64 handling BFV really well. I'm guessing average would be around the 100fps region, pretty good for 1440p ultra.

Until the bridge attack, I only saw a two dips of 1 second each to 83 and 100fps. Most of the time the card is hovering between 110-150. (on air combat was hitting 220fps)
On bridge it is hovering between 90-110 but given the graphic heavy area, truly understandable.

Do you use 18.11.1 drivers which are optimised for BF5?

Must say I am impressed, and rightly so. Because on average your FPS are on RTX2080/1080ti performance level, not GTX1080.

@Panos Yes using the latest driver. Don't forget this is DX11 and not DX12 like the earlier tests that GURU3D and some others did. And also I did turn off the 4 horrible effects, CA, film grain, vignette etc. Might give me an extra couple frames there also. I hate all that extra visual fluff.

Also, I've no idea where they benched for the average, the flying section isn't at all graphically intensive and I don't think the 200 frame cap in game works which is good anyway. You don't want a cap when benching fps averages obviously.

Wattman set to 1750/1100 with HBCC enabled.

On a side note, did you notice my temps and GPU usage? I hardly ever see the card push past 40c, yet it's heating up to the mid 40s with ease in BFV. Constant 99% to 100% GPU usage, giving the card a solid work out is this one.
