The Ryzen 5 3600 Discussion Thread

Yep, done that already. The stick that works always works. Which means it is not a mobo hardware issue.

If you can post some pics of your bios settings showing ram speed, timings, fabric speed and voltages it may help rule out a dodgy bios setting.

They are all on Auto and RAM speed and timings I have been looking on cpu-z (it shows the main one's at least).

The only thing I can say that I noticed in the BIOS is on the XMP profile and when manually set to 1.35v it shows up as 1.38v in the BIOS. But lowered the voltage to see if it was this, but nope it did not make a difference.

Also I did a bit more testing which lead me to think it is definitely the RAM that is the issue. Basically as you know running XMP for me does not work, only 1 stick can handle it. But if I input everything manually which 16-18-18-36 and leave the rest auto it works. Basically the BIOS sets loser timing for the rest of the settings when I do this, as an example the (tRC) is 54 on XMP, but when leave it auto it is 80 something. These loser timings do not generate errors on a quick test I did to see if it did.

Thus it just shows the RAM they are sending some of the sticks are just poor.

RAS Active Time can be as low as 26. Voltage in bios is 1.446 volts. 8-pack 3600CL16 samsung b die. 3800CL15
