Not sure if this has been mentioned at all, but I was watching SSN this morning and they were hinting that the reason Fergie's playing Saha is to basically put him in the shop window, as funds need to be raised from somewhere.

If this is the case, it'd give RVN even more of a reason to want to leave. He's not being dropped because he's playing badly, but because the manager wants to try and get as much money as possible for Saha. Way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if both left old trafford in the summer.

I was at the newcastle game yesterday, it was quite comical. Everyone went absolutely crazy everytime Saha did something wrong, but when Rooney missed a sitter he got cheered :p

at the moment the utd squad is pretty strong in most positions i believe. If nobody leaves over the summer and we sort the midfield, we can challenge chelsea.

GK - VdS, Howard - No problems

Defence - neville, brown, ferdinand, silvestre, evra, vidic, heinze, bardsley and whoever else ive forgot - No problems, CB has the backup of vidic and silvestre if needs be, bardsley can cover for neville and at left back evra's getting better as the games go on, and with heinze back next season we're sorted in defence.

Midfield - Giggs, Ronaldo, Park, Smith, O Shea, Fletcher, Scholes(if he comes back), nobody else worth mentioning- Obviously the problems lie here, 2 strong CM's are needed (maybe 3 depending on when smith gets back) allowing giggs to operate as backup for ronaldo/park, maybe another winger might help as giggs doesn't always perform these days.

Strikers - RvN, Rooney, Saha, Rossi - No problems

If we could just sign the midfield we need, and keep everyone else happy then next season is looking promising. Hopefully the world cup will highlight a few decent players who perhaps wouldn't have been considered any other time.
