Enjoying some premium M&S sausages tonight with a bacon loin steak. I appreciate mail order sausages are probably the best, but there’s definitely some very high quality supermarket options out there now.

Any of you discovered some quality bangers in your local store?

Red's True Barbecue from Tescos. Yes, they're frozen but they're amazing. There's a spicy one and a smokey one. Both are just superb. Bigger than your standard sausage too.

They look good. I’ll give them a try on the bbq when it gets a bit warmer.

I picked up a packet in Morrisons recently, flipped it over and scanned the ingredients. 58% pork. They had one job, stuff this full of pig, and ****** it up. Found some 90% ones which were actually alright.

For me, nothing beats my local butchers, even queue in the snow for them!

Perfect meat content is 75-79%

Shroomdogs from Sainsburys. Made from mushrooms (and other stuff) and oddly nice with a strong mushroomy after taste.

Certainly reminds me of meat sausages but with the added bonus of mushroom after taste.

Ugh no, mushroom is the devils foot fungus

I bought some Tescos Cumberland meat free and some heck meat free chorizo sausages today. Havent tried them yet but fingers crossed.

Poor old @robfosters must be pulling his hair out with all these meat free sausages being mentioned.

Quite right, no meat, no eat.

I like a Chorizo sausage as well. I’m not talking pure chorizo, but a chorizo style sausage made with smoked paprika, like these

Another great variety is the Toulouse sausage as well. Made with bacon, garlic, herbs and red wine.

Lashford sausages are the best.

It’s highly likely they’re not, they’re just your personal favourite from the ones you’ve tried

I really like the Asda taste the difference pork ones. Like 95% pork and I do them in the oven and they actually increase in size! Lovely texture and taste too.

Also, Richmond's are awful. Dreadfully low pork content, full of fillers and an awful meat paste texture. Gross.

Been eating those Asda ones lately too. They’re very good for a high meat content sausage. Like you I do them in the oven and you get a nice smooth middle and a there’s a nice bite to the skin. Highly recommended
