The sensor inside the Nikon D5200 is made by Toshiba

It's a bit of a shock I must say. Wonder how DXO will rate it.

If it's good (I assumed it would be), then that's the shock. I didn't expect competition to Sony's sensor tech lead to come from Toshiba.

After all a lot of what makes a bodies image quality, is what acomponies the sensor!

Tbh though, it sure is nice when you put quality glass in front of a quality sensor.
