The Settlers 2- (DS)

Hi all,

Well i cant decided to buy The Settlers 2: The 10th Anniversary for the DS just wondered if anyone had it? or has a link to a review of some sort? I've read one review and tbh it was pants as far as the review went, bugs, crashes etc.

The 10th Anniversary Ed is the PC remake.

I've only ever played The Settlers (versions 1 to 3) on PC so I can't say what the DS version will be like.

The Settlers is a great game though and would recommend it to those who like the slower RTS/civilization type games.

Steer clear, its awful on such a small screen and as that review says its also very very buggy. Belongs on a PC (or Amiga!).

been dissapointed with a lot of ds games like settlers,sim city and zoo tycoon
seems that it can't handle complex games which is a shame given that the stylus would make a perfect replacement of the mouse .

Going by those who do have DS, it would seem that The Settlers 2: The 10th Anniversary for PC would be better choice.

Ive noticed that too but then I do feel a lot of those games are more suited for the PC, Ive also noticed the stylus can be a little inaccurate at times, especially on things like star fox and point blank.

Hi, its a direct port of the Settlers II from years ago.

Very slow and very small on the screen, looked forward to this but its pretty average, and thats being kind.

Go for Anno 1701, fantastic alternative.
