What is your favourite and why?

I have to say the Zalman 9500.

Because-

It supports all cpus (even though we are talking about 939)

Its easy to install

It looks good

It cools good

Comes WITH a fan controller

Quality product!

big typhoon.

reasons:

its the second best air cooling solution around.

its cheap and under £23 inc vat.

it is multi format and even fits socket A cpus.

i would have to pick the Sycthe Ninja, mainly because i have just installed one and want to pretend that it is the best one ever so i dont go and buy something new in 2 weeks time to replace it :)

It does look pretty cool too with a glowing fan attached to it :) Seems to cool pretty good too.

What's the best?

Cooling performance the Tuniq tower, then the Ninja so the TT is 3rd.

But just cooling performance doesnt make it the best cooler(however daft that sounds), other factors come into it

Would have to narrowly pick the Scythe Ninja over the Arctic Cooling Freezer64 Pro - it cools better and is quieter, but for the price the AC can't really be beat.

The Scythe also has other benefits such as taking any 120mm fan (or two!) and being able to place it on any of its four sides. With the stock fan running at full speed, I find it quieter than the AC.

Saying that, out of the list posted, I've only tried these two.

I'm unsure about the ninja..

I have one and it was easy to install.. but its a pain to move thingg around in the case.. as you hands will ALWAYS hit it..

tbh if I had the choice now I'd probably go for a A64 Freezer pro..

Pros of Ninja..

Very good at cooling.. keeps my opty around the 35 - 39c mark pretty much all the time..
Looks impressive
Easy to install

Cons of the ninja..
Renders movement inside the case impossible.

I've got the Arctic cooler 64 pro, everything included with it, cheap and simplistic, I suspect the Ninja and Thermalright are the coolest however.

I just wandered which was quieter, the 64 freezer pro or the big typhoon. One is measured in sone and one in db on this site so I cant make a direct comparison. I leave my puter on all night you see and getting sick of the humming I have at the moment.

Pot

Evo 33,

Maily as its screw down so i can use it with IHS off. Also it has a controller and offers good temps.

Big typhoon is good but I dont like the mounting mechanism if using the provided backplate. Freezer pro is a good cooler too. I found my evo33 could keep up with the big typhoon but it made a lot more noise
