I went on one of my random drives looking to take some picture of something and found an air at Shuttleworth, camera used Canon EOS 450D EF-S 18-55mm & EF-S 55-250mm.

C&C welcome, please be kind as this was my first air show with this camera.

My Dads building a model one of these at the moment :)

Yeh looks like you have just forgotten to change the white balance on some of the pictures? Some of them could do with a tighter crop and maybe a bit of post processing to bring them alive a bit as well?

Not sure if it was just the situation with the clouds behind etc but what metering mode were you using as it looks like the camera might have exposed purely for the clouds in some of the shots?

I normally have the white balance set to Tungsten light (3200k) but i switched between cloudy (6000k) & daylight (5200k) when the sun came out, camera was set on P.
As for post processing i'm still learning how to use Lightroom 3.

Thats all part of the fun! Seriously just play around with all the settings, there was a decent thread floating around on here some where with tips for LR3 (might have to search for it)

As Phate said when the white balance will always be changing it might be worth just shooting in RAW so you can play around with the white balance if you need to

Just had a quick go on LB3, not to sure what i'm doing but this pic looks a lot better.
Thanks for your comments and keep them coming.

Picture looks more alive now :) I was wondering if someone could help me with similar processing...

When processing some of my images, I get the same thing as in the image above... A slight purple tinge around the whites in places... Any way in which this can be reduced?

A lot of your photos are coming up quite blue mate, you said you're new to this, is your monitor calibrated? :)

As i said i'm new to LB3 and really have no idea what i'm doing, sorry i can't help you.

Phate i'm a bit colour blind, i have problems with green & blue. i think my monitor is calibrated but i'm not sure.

Ok, either buy or borrow a calibrator and calibrate your monitor, your colourblindness will not affect your ability to do this, as it uses bars to tell you the colour levels etc, this way the colours will atleast be displaying properly, this will help you I think. :)

Thanks Phate, just look for a calibrator and there very expensive so i'll have to try a borrow one somehow.

Thats chromatic aberration and theres usually an auto setting in most photo editting programs to get rid of it.
