Rather than the F thread, figured this game now needs its own.

Townfall takes place in the 1990s in a fictional setting called St. Amelia, and closely reflects seaside towns of Scotland, where the team is from. While these ports tend to be quite foggy to begin with, its density is intensified as you uncover how a close-knit community fell apart from what seems to be a disease and mutation that ravaged its people and turned them into monstrous mutants. Playing as Simon Ordell, you're a fish-out-of-water as an American mysteriously washed ashore in a Scottish town. He's got an IV hooked up to his hand, and he's searching for a nurse named Zoe Ellis who lives in St. Amelia. She reaches out to him through a radio device he relies on called the CRTV, guiding him through vague, desperate voicelines – and when you get to her house, you see a portrait of Simon in her upstairs hallway; something weird is going on here.

IGN has played 3 hours of the game and shows/tells of various mechanics, I like the CRTV element, the devs have Alien Isolation lineage too and I think what's shown here demonstrates that.

PC specs out:

The biggest difference is that Townfall's recommended tier jumps to 32 GB RAM, while Silent Hill f stays at 16 GB even at recommended. Townfall also asks for a higher-end recommended GPU and 25 GB more storage, so it's fair to say it's the more demanding of the two by a decent margin. On the CPU side, the difference is smaller but still there: Townfall's minimum and recommended processors are a small step up from Silent Hill f's. Still, if you played Silent Hill f without any trouble, chances are Silent Hill: Townfall will work on your rig, too. By the way, new gameplay footage of the game appeared on YouTube yesterday. You can check that out below.

A 3080 to get 4K 30fps in DLSS Balanced is a good metric to gauge, that means good performance and 60fps for newer cards fairly easily.

F was average overall easy pass for me it looks way too woke - no one is interested in that or ever was tbh
I've only really seen a few limited teasers/trailers but I've not seen much yet that I'd call woke, is there something in particular thats woke that I havent seen?

People just jump on the whole woke wagon because for the sake of it. There isn't anything woke about it.

I saw a woman in the dev talk bit, confirmed woke. Although that hand does look a bit off-white, maybe that’s scared the peanut brains.

He probably means the fact the protag is (apparently) African American.

I don't particularly care if he's black or not, but given it's set in Scotland I'd certainly have preferred to play as someone Scottish if only for the unintentional comedy it would undoubtedly spawn.
