The Sims...which one should i try?

I have decided to stay in tonight and always read a lot about this game.

There seem to be loads...which one should i try?

Sims 4 (2014) is the current version, but Sims 3 (2009) is still played a lot by the fans. 1 and 2 are obsolete. Take a gander on Youtube on gameplay of both 3 and 4 and see what you fancy the most.

Sims 3 is probably the best to go for, especially with the amount of expansions already out for it. 4 doesn't offer much over it.
