okok, so. I own a legal copy before anyone asks. I had it installed a week or so ago, ran fine. Took my dvd drive out of my pc, and left it round my gf's house. So for her to be able to play the game when shes round I decided upon a nocd whatsit for the sims *hell, she just wants to make a pretty house when shes round, I don't even like the game *mumbles about sucking the life out of me** anyway, yeah. I pop it on, works fine.
(If thats, illegal? Just tell me and can edit that out, not really relevant to my overall problem)
Come to this week, (note: a week since i last ran the game) and it wont get past the EA challange everything logo, and even that is laggy and at about 5fps. I get an olddd cd drive, put the original .exe back and...the same thing.
Erm, right. So I uninstall totally from my pc, reinstall and constant flood of errors and the same crashing going on, but now with added error box with no info in. So I uninstall, get flustered and throw the cd drive out of my pc.
Whats wrong? I'm totally stumped, after 4 re-installs and complete removals of the game. only thing I havent touched is the registry (pc playing up recently, didnt want to bork it evenmore)
All this hassle to make a bleeding house where the sim will die anyway >.<
