The Sinking City - skulduggery alleged by the publisher against the developer!

Very dodgy, it sounds like Nacon have been ripping them off for the past year and have now gone one step further.

Bonus points for use of the word skulduggery.

Seems pretty conclusive from what they present as evidence but would be interesting to hear the other side's explanation of events. If it is as open and shut as it appears at first glance based purely on their own account then they should have no issues resolving it through the courts.

Seems this is a battle between a French publisher called Nacron and a Ukrainian developer named Frogworks. (Edit: actually Frogwares)

Maybe some offense taken by their name, all seems very low and sneaky.

According to the article Nacon net worth is €700M

Why on earth would they try this for a few sales its not like the game even sold that well (unless it did & its hidden somehow!). The actual game is ok looks pretty good at times but not everyone's cup of tea as it's pretty much a detective adventure click to progress with small pieces of action.

Perhaps that €700M is from ripping off other developers :D I'm sure there was a kerfuffle last year with Nacron paying very little or none of the royalties owed from sales.

So what actually happened between them two? I read its contract issues but ive never seen a publisher and developer fight like this before. Maybe im just not understanding it properly.
