2 problems i'm having with Snow is

1. Screen would sudden go blank but the apps are still running and all I can see is the mouse cursor, to fix this I have to put it in standby then start it up again. This has happened 3 times, once when encoding using handbrake, and twice while on surfing the net.

2. opening multiple pictures using Preview results in only showing a couple of them, for example I highlighted 10 photos and right-click and select open and only 2 photos show up. Right now I have to open Preview and then drag them in.

Booting up seems slower, previous Leopard boots up after the round progress bar spins 4-5 times but Snow takes 8-9 spins this is using SSD, but shutdown is super quick, less than 2 secs.

I'm getting a weird green tint problem in Firefox, what's the easiest way to rollback to Leopard? I made a time machine backup before I upgraded.

Also it now takes forever to empty the trash now.

First bug found so far since updating earlier on is that Firefox keeps sticking for a few seconds when either scrolling or loading a second tab

Hopefully the next FF update will fix this.....

Try color correcting first. It may also be something to do with the new Gamma setting in Snow Leopard and your display.

System Preferences > Display > Color > Calibrate

Go through that and move back to 1.8, see if that makes a difference.

I managed to solve the tint problem. Switch over to 9600GT card and switched back to 9400, tint now gone.

Oh yes. Awesomeness is in the house.

All i really want to do is quote alan partridge, Cash Back! In off the Red! Back of the net! Mines a pint!!!

Anyway, having that feature set up and sorted is pretty cool! (mine comes tomorrow i think, then its setting up some sort of home server for this too)

Even on 10.5, I've noticed that the selected monitor colour profile (System Preferences > Displays > Colour) isn't always kept in sync when switching between 9400M and 9600MGT

What's to stop you selling it on eBay after install.

I'm angry, I got my MBP 2 weeks ago and paid the full £25 for the upgrade.

Ebay might stop you, but I doubt it. As for being angry - why? You got what you paid for when you bought the mac. Just a shame you didn't know you could get an upgrade for 8 quid instead of 25.

Snow Leopard on Macbook & iMac?

I use my iMac at work and Macbook at home, never at the same time does this mean I can install snow leopard on both with my single user license version I bought at the weekend?

I know this is the case with my copy of CS4 but dunno about apple software?

Had a few crashes in FF since my SL (32bit kernel) upgrade, but cannot seem to reproduce them. Whilst in a browsing session, if I click on the menu bar and goto Help, the program would often crash out. I'm not sure if this is specific to the Help portion of the menubar or the entire menubar.

Other then that SL is just as I expected, an upgrade for the foundation of OSX.

Grrrrr my copy STILL hasn't been delivered by Royal Mail.

I could have gone and bought it in a store by now ffs.

Who else hasn't had their £25 copy delivered by RM?

Very, very annoyed :(

It hasn't got any checks to stop you doing it.

Apple hopes you would buy the family pack version for £14 more if it were to be installed on more than one computer.

But having only two computers in the place its not really worth it, besides I bought my MP and subsequently had a few months of issues with it when I should have really got the cheaper up-to-date disk :p

I've fixed my problems !

Seriously though, two simple things have pushed me back to Leopard.

Printer drivers: Despite what HP say, the drivers for my printer ARE NOT included in Snow Leopard, and they don't know when they will be.

Spaces are choppy as hell, as are all animations. I use Spaces a hell of a lot, and the choppiness was getting on my wick. Stacks etc were the same. It's apparently an OpenGL issue, possible just with the 9400M in the Unibody MacBook.

Once the drivers are out, and the OGL is fixed I'll be back to Snow Leopard like a shot - can't wait !

I might go back to 10.5.8 for now, but the only TimeMachine backup I have is from Snow Leopard do you think its fine to restore it on the Previous Leopard?

Wow, just made the jump from Tiger to SL, i'm sure moving to leopard would have the same reaction, but it is running insanely good on my 2006 Macbook.
